A Mandatory Feast for ALL Mankind

Thousands of years before the United States made Thanksgiving one of their official holidays (1863) there was a biblical feast day that was created by God called the Feast of Tabernacles. This feast is also called the Feast of Ingathering.

…. and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field. Exodus 23:16

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated in Canada and the United States. It was originally celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the

harvest and of the preceding year. Don’t they sound similar? The Feast of Tabernacles (ingathering) however was not a man made tradition, but a memorial that was established by the Father. Some of what many people are thinking right now is:

It was established for the Children of Israel/ Jews or that it was just for the Old Testament times;  Christ nailed the Feast Days to the cross upon his death. Is this what was proven to you or is it what has always been taught to you? As much as possible, it is always worth repeating that all of the Feast Days as well as the covenants of promises were given to the Children of Israel FIRST. That’s right!! Every one of them. Just like most of us have a manager or supervisor at work who communicates information down to the employees, the Father has the Children of Israel who he established so that they could do the same for him. (Gen. 28:14; Deut.29:1,29; Romans 9:4)

The Feast of Tabernacles, like all of the feast that God established were to be celebrated by all of those that loved him and have a desire to reign with him in the new heavens and new earth.

“34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord. Leviticus 23:34

We must remember, the covenant was made with the Children of Israel first and part of the agreement was that they were responsible with giving the information to the entire world so that they too may be blessed. God was not going to come down on earth and individually teach man what they must do to be saved. We must also understand something about the nature or characteristics of both God and Christ. They are both perfect and have given us the perfect example of how to live

#1 God does not change or break any of his covenants. (Malachi 3:6; Pslams 89:34)

#2 Christ has given us a perfect example that we should follow in his steps. He also changes not. (1 Peter 2:21; Hebrews 13:8)

Therefore, the notion that this was somehow nailed to the cross or that it was for the Old Testament only is a plot from the enemy to deceive the world from keeping this feast. But hold on tight because greater evidence is coming!

OUR PERFECT EXAMPLE KEPT THE FEAST

How many people claim to be Christians? Part of that proclamation as a Christian is that “I’m a follower of Christ.” As a follower of Christ, we should follow HIS TEACHINGS and the examples that he gave us when he walked the earth over 2000 years ago. The following passages show clearly that Christ not only commanded his disciples to go up and keep this feast, but he too, went up to Jerusalem, not to condemn it, but to keep it as commanded in the Old Testament.

“Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.”      John 7: 2

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.   When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.  But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.  Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?”          John 7: 8-11

“Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.  And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?  Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself… Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.  But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.  Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.”                                           John 7:14-17, 28-30

THE KINGDOM IS CLOSED

This may come as a shock to most.  This is the greatest evidence ever that the Feast of Tabernacles is an everlasting feast and that we must as true believers feast-of-tabernacles-bannercelebrate it today. The millennial kingdom is the title given to the 1000-year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth. Six times in Revelation 20:2-7, the millennial kingdom is specifically said to be 1000 years in length. The Bible tells us that when Christ returns to the earth He will establish Himself as king in Jerusalem, sitting on the throne of David (Luke 1:32–33).

With that being said, we have to take a close look at what the book of Zechariah said regarding this feast during the Millennial reign. According to Zechariah 14:16-20, those that refuse to keep this feast day will be destroyed. This is how sincere the Father is about the holy days that he has established.

“And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.  And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.  And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.  In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD’S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.”                                               Zechariah 14:16-20

It is the desire and the will of the Father, for all men today, to come into the full knowledge of his true word and celebrate his feast. Sure, it’s not popular among today’s Christian world, but the true Christians of the bible celebrated it and the true Christians in the Millennium, that have not heard about this feast day will celebrate it then. Because it is not popular does not make it wrong, it just makes the world wrong.  Those that have ears to hear, let them here.
