Letter from the Editor

Dear Reader,

In this month’s issue of Restoration Magazine, we are featuring articles that will cause you to reflect and think about the principles and practices of modern day religion and present to you concrete facts that will allow you to compare them with the teachings of the Early Church.

We will examine the teachings of the Apostolic Church today. In order to keep the Apostles Doctrine, you must commit to the same practices that the Apostles did during biblical times. The teachings of the Apostolic Church claims to have the doctrine of the Early Apostles, but when we take a closer look at the origin and the teachings of this religious denomination, you will be able to notice a distinct difference.

“Is the Cross for the Believers?” focuses on the symbolic meaning of the crucifix that the Christians believe today. We will compare their current values to the original meaning of the crucifix in times of old. Through Christianity and the hip-hop culture, the crucifix has become glamorized. Today, it is wore about the neck and even tattooed on the body as a show of one’s faith, but during the time of rule of the Roman Empire, the crucifix (a display of Jesus Christ nailed to the cross) was symbolized as a form of punishment and it represented death. So, when did the crucifix become a staple of one’s belief in Christ?

The Restoration we will discuss what makes a language holy in, “Did God Create All Languages?” Many believers will argue that God created all languages and that there is no value in seeking out the original name for the savior of the world. Most people are unaware of the fact that in the English language alone, during both the “Old English” and “Middle English” period, Christ was known by two other names other than “Jesus.” History also proves that the letter “J” is only roughly about 400-500 years old. English did not exist during Biblical times, so what language were they speaking when calling on the salvation name to heal and deliver the saints? Consequently, this principle is what the Apostolic Faith denomination has built a worldwide movement from. We would like for you to open up your minds as you read through this month’s issue. We believe that there is a righteous way of living, we hope and pray that the information presented in this month’s issue will enlighten and help you on your spiritual quest for eternal life.

Join us in the reading these articles and discover the information that has been left out.
