Letter From the Editor

Dear Readers,

I know that it has been a while since I’ve last spoken to you, but instead of coming to you every month, we will now be publishing The Restoration Magazine four times a year. You can expect a new issue every month of January, April, July, and November. Trust me, you will still get the same dynamic articles, commentaries, and health tips that we have always brought to you.

We are kicking off this issue with the article, “Has the World Lost It’s Fear of God?” Many may say that they fear God, but fall short when it comes to keeping His commandments. Some might say that the law is done away with, but where in the Bible does God say that? I’ll tell you, nowhere. Actually, it is a major benefit in keeping the commandments of God. It is amazing how one can say that they believe in God and preach sermons about the law, but forget that the fear of God is the keeping of His commandments. How did the world get to this point?

If God established a definition for a particular thing, why does man think that it is acceptable to re-define it and pass his (man) doctrine off as one that God set-up? Have you ever wondered how God defined “sound doctrine?” In the article, “What is Sound Doctrine?” you will be amazed at the difference in how God defined it and how man defined it.

Also, in the Bible, God states in Isaiah 43:6 “I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.” God is gathering His sheep (children) for their protection and also, for His glory.  This is not the only place in the Bible where He gathers His children, Matthew 24:31 shows Him gathering His people as well. These people are called the “lost sheep.” In this issue, we have “A Message to the Lost Sheep.” This is such a powerful message; I really think that you will enjoy it!

Don’t forget to check out Cris’ Corner. She talks about how collective, we have our own expectations for the church, but we never take the time to realize that we have to put something into the church in order to get something out of it.

Well, that’s all for now, I’ll chat with you again in the month of July!
